Full Roof Refurbishment in Enfield

When a property owner in Enfield approached us with a roof that had reached the end of its serviceable life, we knew a comprehensive refurbishment was the only way to restore both its integrity and its longevity. Surface-level patching would only delay the inevitable, so we recommended a full strip-and-refit to bring the roof back up to standard properly.

The Scope of Works

We began by carefully stripping back the existing coverings, taking the opportunity to inspect the underlying structure once everything was exposed. A handful of minor structural repairs were identified and addressed at this stage — always easier and more cost-effective to put right whilst the roof is open, rather than discovering issues further down the line.

With the timbers sound, we installed a new breathable membrane and fresh battens, giving the roof a robust, modern foundation built to last. The property was then re-slated using quality materials, with all ridges renewed to ensure a clean, uniform finish along the roofline.

Leadwork and Chimney Repairs

No roof refurbishment is complete without attention to the detailing, and this job was no exception. We renewed the leadwork throughout, ensuring all flashings, valleys, and junctions were properly dressed and watertight. The chimney also received targeted repairs as part of the project, tidying up an area that’s often overlooked but critical to the overall weather resistance of the roof.

The Result

The finished roof is fully weatherproof, structurally sound, and looking sharp from kerbside. The client now has peace of mind knowing their property is protected for decades to come, with no lingering concerns about leaks, slipped slates, or failing flashings.
