Full Roof Refurbishment Oxford

A property in Oxford came to us in need of a complete roof overhaul. The existing coverings were well past their best, and rather than patch things up for the short term, we set out a plan for a full refurbishment that would restore the roof properly and stand the test of time.

The Scope of Works

The first stage was stripping back the existing tiles and coverings to expose the roof structure beneath. With everything open, we were able to carry out a thorough inspection and address a number of minor structural repairs — the sort of small but important fixes that are far easier to sort at this stage than further down the line.

Once the timbers were in good order, we fitted a new breathable membrane and fresh battens across the roof, providing a solid, modern base for the new covering. The property was then re-tiled throughout, with all ridges renewed to give the roofline a clean, consistent finish.

Leadwork and Chimney Repairs

As with any quality roofing job, the detailing is where it’s made or broken. We renewed all the leadwork, making sure flashings and junctions were properly dressed and fully watertight. The chimney was also tidied up as part of the works, bringing what’s often a weak point on older roofs back up to standard.

The Result

The finished roof is completely weatherproof, structurally sound, and looking smart from the ground up. The client has the reassurance of knowing their home is protected for the long term, with no worries about leaks or failing detailing creeping back in.
